Nationally recognized Small Business Saturday is a huge day for La Salle businesses! In 2010, American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help businesses with their most pressing need — getting more customers! The day encourages people to shop at small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The single-day has grown into a powerful movement nationwide - and is one of the busiest shopping days in La Salle! At the La Salle Business Association, we truly believe in shopping local, dining local, and supporting your family-owned businesses!
Locally, the La Salle Business Association organizes the event and coordinates the marketing efforts. This event is open to ALL La Salle businesses, not just LBA members. Members get their logo on the full-color flyer and eblast, non-members just have their business' name.
Watch for the double-sided flyer the week of the event for all of the great deals, promos, and specials! Hours vary by the business, so be sure to call or check ahead of time. Shoppers make four purchases at any of the participating businesses, drop off their punch card to the pocket park at 540 First Street and then are entered to win one of (3) $50 Locally La Salle City-wide Shopping Cards. They are valid at over 30 businesses throughout La Salle!
The Kindlebar is returning to this year's event from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the pocket park on First street! Stop by for a warm beverage at the Kindlbar - our mini version of the bar at Christkindlmarket with cocoa for the kiddos + adders for the adults! Sponsored by Hometown National Bank.
Businesses: You do not have to accept AMEX to participate. Participating businesses will receive their informational packet week of 11/25. Packets include instructions, extra flyers, a window sign, punch cards for the raffle, and a flyer explaining the Locally La Salle Citywide Shopping Card prize.
