In 2010, American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help businesses with their most pressing need — getting more customers. The day encourages people to shop at small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The single-day has grown into a powerful movement, and more people are taking part than ever before.
Locally, the La Salle Business Association organizes the event and coordinates the marketing efforts.
This year we are again offering an additional incentive – prize baskets! Customers who make purchases at FOUR participating businesses in La Salle and drop their passport off at Santa’s house (at First and Wright Street) are eligible to win a variety of great gift certificates and gifts that are part of the baskets. Each of the FOUR baskets is valued at over $200!
